A summary more wise is poetry in disguise

A crystal researcher who accidentally became an astronaut. The designer of the most beautiful book in the world. A woman who challenges the rules for high-technological surrogate motherhood. A quantum scientist who spins atoms on the other side of the world. An artist who makes animals from PVC pipes that come alive at the beach. A student who takes photographs from an altitude of twelve kilometres. Each of them is writing history. They will all tell their stories at TEDxDelft. Delft, Zuid-Holland (October 27, 2011) –TEDxDelft will take place at the TU Delft Aula Congress Centre on Nov. 7, 2011, and feature twenty speakers who will share their ‘history created’. The independently organized event, licensed by TED, will incorporate TEDTalks videos, original speakers, music and entertainment. “Delft has a very rich history of creators and creations. We have famous painters like Vermeer and inventors like Van Leeuwenhoek, who designed the microscope. Delft is also the birth place of brand new designs like storm proof umbrella Senz and the foldable chair Flux Chair. Together with a top ranked university of technology, Delft is all about Ideas Worth Spreading. So we couldn’t wait to host a TEDx event in Delft,” said Rob Speekenbrink, event founder and TEDxDelft licensee.
